During the 2003 season Jenson Button regularly out-qualified BAR Honda team mate, and ex world Champion, Jacques Villenueve.  Jenson Buttons performances justified some podium finishes such as at the US F1 Grand Prix, which he led for 15 laps, and where he was in a comfortable second position, when his car gave out.  But it was not to be! A brilliant fourth place for Jenson Button at the last race of the season, at the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, gave BAR Honda fifth position in the constructor's Championship.
